Our Program

Our curriculum is tentative and based on how the children are learning.  We try our best to meet each child's individual learning technique.  We find that most children learn best with a creative Emergent Curriculum.

Emergent curriculum is based on how the children are feeling about what we are learning.  More time will be spent on what they want to explore;  less on what we have planned.

Curriculum is planned on a monthly basis, changing with weekly topics.  Songs, games, stories, projects and discussionsrelating to the themes, are practiced throughout the week. 

A typical day includes but is not limited to art, crafts, creative expression, games, music, stories, songs and lots free expression and play.  We have learning times for science, math, language and literacy specifically, however, learning is incorporated in all that we do. 

We are licensed to care for 27 children and offer small group learning experiences.  (Todds:  ration 2:7 and Preschool, PreK:  ratio 1:6).   Small ratios!

All subsidy programs are welcome, DSHS, DHHS and have discounts for more than one child.

We are family & culturally friendly. . . Diverse. . .  A unique setting, a small center with a warm family feel. . . and have been serving the community for the past 34 years!
